Add sites to the jtrotta.com web directory

There are many reasons to add your web sites and web pages to the jtrotta.com web directory. Our directory is a great value because you pay based on which category you're listed in, you pay only after you're happy with the listing, your links will be very relevant, your traffic is not diverted, and your link popularity is not drained.

You pay for what you get. Most directories charge the same submission fee no matter which category your site ends up in. Here at jtrotta.com you pay less for listings deeper in the directory structure:

$69.90 for a top level category (e.g. Web directory - Travel)
$35.90 for a 2nd second level (e.g. Web directory - Travel - Accommodations)
$18.90 for a third level (e.g. Web directory - Travel - Accommodations - Asia)
$9.90 for a 4th level (e.g. Web directory - Travel - Accommodations - Asia - Thailand).

You pay if you're happy. For the first 4 years or so, submitting to the jtrotta.com directory was free. However, I ended up reviewing way too many sites as I received hundreds of submissions a day. Now I require payment before reviewing a site but if your site is rejected, you pay nothing. I refund the PayPal payment.

Traffic. Most web directories have sponsored links imported from paid search listings or Google Adsense. This makes money for the directory, but what does it do for the people paying to submit their sites? It diverts traffic. Here at jtrotta.com we don't do Adsense. We don't import paid search feeds. We don't have sponsored links. The sites listed in our directory get all the attention.

Relevant links. Our categories have keywords in their URLs. Here's one example: http://www.jtrotta.com/Sports/American-football/NFL/Giants - that's better than a link from directory/32/45/97.php, don't you think?

We are also very careful to organize sites by topic. All sites will be relevant to the categories they are listed in.

Link popularity. How many directories offer sitewide links? Jtrotta.com does not because we want the web sites and web pages paying for inclusion in jtrotta.com to get as much link popularity as possible. A dozen links at the bottom of every page generates money for the directory, but what does it do for the people paying to submit their sites? It drains the link popularity.

Submit.To submit your web site or web page, go to the directory home and then find the best category for the site or page you're submitting. Click on "Submit New Link" and fill in the required information.
